Luck of the Irish: St. Paddy's Day Celebrations

With my Scotch-Irish ancestry and being the red-headed, freckled person that I am, I can't help but feel a bit of a connection with St. Patrick's Day.  And green just happens to be one of my favorite colors.

I love the wispy clover on the invitation above via

Thoughtfully Simple is featuring the cutest St. Paddy's Day breakfast idea - "A Lucky Breakfast". You must see for yourself!

Rainbow cupcakes would make for a fun and unexpected St. Paddy's Day treat, even if slightly time-intensive. Here's the how-to from Family Fun mag.

I absolutely adore the fabulous St. Patrick's Day beer tasting party over at The White Library.  Definitely check out the free printables she's posted too! I'm considering whipping up a batch of this hearty beef & Guiness stew, since beer makes every stew taste better, right?

Spring is in the air!

Hello friends! After a long winter's nap, I'm back to blogging and excited about what's ahead this spring.  As the daffodils are starting to pop up around town, I'm starting to think that the groundhog was correct in his prediction that spring will be here soon! Now that I've crawled out of my winter hibernation, it's time to dust off the crystal and polish the silver.  Party time is around the corner!

I love this apple green and pink color scheme for a fresh spring tabletop via Country Living. The seersucker table cloth is perfect too.

Dessert anyone? Springtime calls for fruit-inspired desserts, and of course desserts containing with bright lemon flavor and fluffy white coconut fit the bill too.
