New Year, New Look!

I decided this morning that my blog layout could use a little "freshening up" in 2010, so I hope you like the new look!  It's fun to make subtle changes in your life, like moving furniture around or re-inventing an old recipe, just to mix things up a little bit.

In 2010, I have resolved to take on tasks that I am reluctant about doing for one reason or another. I will try to apply this resolution to all aspects of my life, personal and professional. My grandmother always says that it is best to tackle your most dreaded task first (simply, just get it over with).

In late February, I will be celebrating Frecklize the World's one year anniversary!  I am trying to come up with a fun way to "raise a glass" to a year full of party tips and new ideas. Here are a couple of fun items that would be perfect to use for a birthday party.

Annieglass Ruffle Cake Platter and Plates (not to mention a decadent chocolate cake)

Simon Pearce Cavendish Candlesticks

Monogrammed Ruthie Napkins by Leontine Linens

I am loving the idea of  bird-themed invitations.  This one is by Kate Spade at FineStationery.com

Grass green peacock invitation by Inviting Company

Adorable pink peacock invitation by William Arthur
