As far as I'm concerned, the most exciting part of party planning, other than the party itself, is picking out or designing the invitations. I fear that paper invitations are going to be extinct among our generation.
There are a number of reasons that it is easier to send an evite rather than a paper invitation, but the excitement of opening up the envelope to discover who has included you in their festivities is just not there when you click on an email. Although their are occasions when an e-vite will suffice, any party that involves more than 30 minutes of planning deserves a cute invitation!
Speaking of cute invitations, I just love Sarah LeClere's invitation designs. While brainstorming for an upcoming baby shower that I am co-hosting, I came across these adorable invites.

Here we are!!
This is the inaugural post for my new blog, frecklize the world. I should start off by explaining the title. Born into a family with scotch-irish ancestry, my most prominent physical characteristics are my red hair and freckles. My husband also has a similar "pale" skin-tone and brownish, redish hair, hence the phrase "frecklize the world." It is one of those silly things that Mr. Hubby came up with during our engagement, when friends would comment on how we would likely have some "red-headed babies" one day.
FTW is dedicated to all things that make modern-day entertaining easy and exciting. I have always enjoyed the process of planning, throwing, and attending parties. I am no "Martha", but I do love throwing a good get-together, whether it's a girls' night out or a full-blown Christmas cocktail party.
Cheers!
